Refund policy

At Sideline Studios, every order is either created, prepared or supplied with a fairly specific purpose in mind. Sometimes very specific. Suspiciously specific, even.

This policy explains how refunds, returns and cancellations are handled.

Nothing in this policy removes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

If there is a major problem with a product or service, you may be entitled to a replacement, repair, refund or other remedy depending on the issue.

If something is wrong with your order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review it properly and work out the next step.

Default Return + Cancellation Rules

Returns may be requested within 7 days of delivery for physical items that arrive damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described.

Custom, personalised, made-to-order and digital products are generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns.

Cancellations may be requested within 12 hours of placing an order, or before design work, file preparation, printing, packing or digital delivery has started — whichever comes first.

Digital download orders cannot be cancelled once the file, template link or download has been delivered or accessed.

Nothing in these rules removes your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If something is wrong with your order, please contact Sideline Studios so it can be reviewed properly.

The admin bit, unfortunately. Important though.

Change of Mind

Because many Sideline Studios products are custom, personalised, made-to-order or digital, we generally do not offer refunds for change of mind.

This includes if you:

  • change your mind after ordering

  • choose the wrong product

  • provide incorrect details

  • no longer need the item

  • decide you prefer a different style after the work has started

  • purchase a digital download and then decide it is not what you wanted

Please read the product description carefully before placing your order. The details are there for a reason. Mostly to protect us both from future chaos.

Custom Orders

Custom orders include products such as custom player cards, team sets, posters, prints, templates, packaging design, social graphics, event details and one-off design projects.

Once design work has started, refunds are not usually available for custom orders unless there is a problem covered by Australian Consumer Law.

If you need to cancel a custom order before work has started, please contact us as soon as possible. If no work has begun, a refund or partial refund may be available.

If work has already started, any refund will depend on how much work has been completed.

Digital Downloads

Digital download products are non-refundable once the file, template link or download has been accessed or delivered, unless the product is faulty, not as described or otherwise covered by Australian Consumer Law.

Digital products may include:

  • printable files

  • digital posters

  • Canva templates

  • SVG cut files

  • social media templates

  • digital player cards

  • instruction files

  • downloadable design assets

Please check the product details carefully before purchasing.

No postage. No waiting. No pretending a digital file is still in transit.

Printed Products

If a printed product arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • your order number

  • photos of the item

  • photos of the packaging, if damaged in transit

  • a clear explanation of the issue

We will review the issue and let you know whether a replacement, repair, refund or other remedy is appropriate.

Proofs and Approval

For custom orders, a proof may be supplied before final files are delivered or printing begins.

Please check proofs carefully. Once you approve a proof, Sideline Studios is not responsible for errors that were visible in the approved version, including spelling, names, dates, numbers, colours or layout details.

Tiny details love to hide in plain sight. Please look at them properly.

Revisions

Most custom products include one minor revision unless otherwise stated.

A minor revision may include:

  • small wording changes

  • colour adjustments

  • minor layout tweaks

  • small detail corrections

A minor revision does not include:

  • a completely new design direction

  • changing the brief after design has started

  • new artwork or illustration

  • additional pages, products or formats

  • repeated rounds of changes

Extra revisions may be available for an additional fee.

Incorrect Customer Information

Please make sure all details supplied are correct before placing your order.

Sideline Studios is not responsible for errors caused by incorrect customer-supplied information, including names, spelling, numbers, dates, team details, colours, addresses or uploaded files.

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to help, but changes may not be possible once work has started, files have been delivered or printing has begun.
